Anka Krašna (Slovenia)

About the artist

Anka Krašna (1950, Maribor) is an academy-trained painter, who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana in 1976 in the class of professor Gabrijel Stupica (painting) and professor Franc Kokalj (vitrage), and later specialized in painting at the same institution under the mentorship of professor Jože Ciuha and professor Marjan Tršar. Currently she teaches painting at the Faculty of education in Maribor. Her works have been shown in more than 90 solo exhibitions and more than 200 group exhibitions, both home and abroad, winning several awards and recognitions.
